For the fifth time and the second time in the row, Corinthia Hotel St. Petersburg has been recognized as Russia’s Leading Conference Hotel by the World Travel Awards. The event, dubbed "The Oscars of the Travel Industry", acknowledges outstanding achievements in the tourism industry around the world.

The Gala Awards ceremony took place in St. Petersburg for the first time, on September 30th, 2017. On the ceremony, it was announced, that the World Travel Awards has chosen St. Petersburg as Europe's Leading City Destination 2017.

Indeed, the 388-room Corinthia Hotel St. Petersburg is the only five-star property which offers such a large number of rooms and event spaces in the historical city centre. The hotel offers 17 convertible event spaces with a total capacity of up to 1,000 people. The hotel caters for a variety of events, including international conferences, sumptuous banquets, private weddings and high-end events.

Currently, Corinthia Hotel St. Petersburg is implementing a large-scale investment project aimed at updating the design of guestrooms and the concept of the lobby. In the spring of 2017, 120 newly-designed deluxe rooms were opened in the main wing of the hotel, to the delight of guests and travel professionals alike.

The renovation project successfully continues with 162 newly-designed rooms to be opened in the coming months, and is expected to be completed by the summer of 2018. The final offering will include 388 guest rooms, 17 venues for events for up to 1,000 people and 4 drinking and dining outlets, all serviced by impeccable Corinthia standards.

Corinthia Hotel St. Petersburg was previously named "Russia’s Leading Conference Hotel" by the World Travel Awards in 2016, 2013, 2012 and 2011. In addition, the hotel was named “Best Congress Hotel in St. Petersburg” by the Russian Business Travel & MICE Awards in October 2015, and was recognised by the Russian Hospitality Awards as the “Best MICE hotel in Russia” in February 2016.

In 2003, in the year of the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg, the city authorities fixed the honorable medallion near the Admiralty with the signature "Patrons of restoration with gratitude from Petersburg" to Corinthia Group of Companies. It is a recognition of the fundamental and careful reconstruction of the three historical buildings of the nineteenth century on Nevsky Prospect, in which the hotel is located.
